Miriam Yousif aka Mims is a well-rounded dancer. She was trained in RAD ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. She has worked with Apl De Ap (Black Eyes Peas), Far East Movement, opened for Jennifer Lopez, and has recently performed with Xfactor, Nathaniel and was featured in The Voice Winner Anja’s brand new music video, Triumph.
Alongside her 7 years’ experience as a professional commercial dancer is her love for teaching children. She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising but changed her career to teaching dance. She is currently an early childhood teacher, and believes that taking dance classes doesn’t only teach children how to dance, it also teaches them compassion, determination and discipline whilst having fun.
She has choreographed for a number of artists/singers all across the world, and has won in several competitions including jazz and hip hop. Not to mention, a resident coach in her jazz and hip hop competing team from numerous high schools in Sydney.
Miss Mims is very delighted to teach and cannot wait to do another year of fabulous dancing.

Soon finding a passion for classical dance, she turned her focus to Ballet (RAD), whilst also excelling in Jazz, Tap and Contemporary, competing in Eisteddfods across NSW as part of a group and a soloist. In 2008, Alex toured the West Coast of USA, performing at Disneyland and attending lessons by some of the biggest names in dance in the US, across all genres.
Alex has continued to pursue a career in the arts, taking out 1st place in Higher School Certificate Drama in 2013 and currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Performance at Macquarie University.
