Concert and Performance Team

Concert

At RJPA, we are passionate about providing our students with opportunities to shine and showcase their hard work, regardless of their ability. We believe that the stage is where our students' hearts are truly full, and we are committed to creating performance opportunities that are inclusive and supportive of all our dancers.

We are proud to offer our students a range of performance opportunities throughout the year, including competitions and school fetes. However, the highlight of our performance calendar is undoubtedly our end-of-year concert. This event is a chance for all our students to come together and perform on a professional stage, in front of a live audience. Our students eagerly anticipate the announcement of the next theme, which has ranged from Alice in Wonderland to Wizard of Oz and Swan Lake. It is an absolute joy to offer our students the chance to experience performing a full-scale show in a beautiful theatre.

Our end-of-year concert is created with all our students in mind, and we work hard to ensure that every dancer has the opportunity to shine. We offer a range of group routines that cater to different skill levels, as well as solo and duet opportunities for those who are ready to take on a greater challenge. We believe that every student has the potential to excel, and we are committed to providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed.

To ensure that our end-of-year concert runs smoothly, we require our students and their families to commit to a range of additional costs and commitments. These include costume fees, rehearsal attendance, and a commitment to attend all scheduled performances.

To learn more about the additional costs and commitments associated with concert participation, please refer to our handbook, which can be found at here.

We encourage all our families to carefully review this information, and to speak with the principal if they have any questions or concerns.

Performance Teams

Starting in 2023, RJ Performing Arts is proud to recommence two performance teams, the Senior Performance Team and the Intermediate Performance Team.

These teams are exclusively for students who demonstrate exceptional commitment and dedication to their dance craft, and membership is through audition only. The creation of these teams reflects our desire to provide our students with opportunities to take their skills to the next level and to challenge themselves in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Membership in the Senior and Intermediate Performance Teams is highly competitive, as we seek only the most dedicated and hardworking dancers. Auditions for these teams will be rigorous, and will test dancers on a range of technical and performance-based skills. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with highly experienced choreographers and to develop their skills in a more intensive and focused setting.

We are thrilled to offer our most dedicated students the opportunity to be part of a performance team, and to experience the thrill of performing in front of live audiences. These teams will have the chance to showcase their talents at a range of performances throughout the year, including competitions, festivals and community events. Additionally, members of the Senior and Intermediate Performance Teams will be given priority consideration for solo and lead roles in our end-of-year concert.

If you are interested in auditioning for the 2024 performance team, please send us an email at info@rjperformingarts.com.au.

We encourage all our students to consider auditioning for these teams, and to take their dance journey to the next level.
